Executive Summary
The Bluegrass Bourbon Institute (BBI) is a proposed educational and cultural organization dedicated to preserving, promoting, and teaching the rich history and craftsmanship of Kentucky bourbon. Located within Jessamine County and developed in partnership with the Jessamine County Historical Society, BBI will serve as an experiential learning center, offering classes, historical exhibits, workshops, and bourbon-tasting events.
Our mission is to combine historical preservation with hands-on education to create a unique destination for residents, tourists, and bourbon enthusiasts. Through this partnership and with grant support, the Institute will become a cornerstone for heritage tourism and cultural education in our region.

Objectives
Establish a fully operational bourbon education center in Jessamine County.
Develop a robust curriculum covering bourbon history, production, and tasting.
Partner with the Jessamine County Historical Society to preserve and showcase relevant artifacts and local historical narratives.
Secure grant funding and community partnerships for initial launch and long-term sustainability.
Host at least 12 public education events and 6 private group events in Year 1.
Attract a minimum of 1,000 visitors/students in the first year of operation.
